
He was born on
26.10.1930 in the city of Leninakan of the Armenian SSR, in the employees' family.
Father, Hovhannes Muradian was born in the village of Taghavank of Sasna Khut province of the Western Armenia.
Mother, Mariam Tumasian was born in the village Bulanugh of Mush of the Western Armenia.
In
1948 he finished the secondary school and the same year he entered the physics-mathematical faculty of the Pedagogical Institute after Mikayel Nalbandian of Leninakan, which he graduated from in
1953 with the diploma of excellent marks.
From
1953 - 1958 he worked in the secondary schools as a teacher of physics and mathematics of higher classes. In parallel with the working activity in
1962 he graduated from the technological faculty of Machine-cutting and Tools of Moscow Machine-Building Institute.
From
1958 - 1963 he worked in the factory of Grinding machines of Leninakan as engineer rate setter, head of the workshop, head of the technological laboratory and deputy director on production.
In
1964 he was appointed Director of the factory of MicroElectroMotors.
. In
1965 he was elected head of the department of industry, transport and construction of Leninakan City Council of the Armenian Communist Party (ACP).
In
1967 he was appointed as a deputy of the head of the department of ACP CC Light and Food Industry.
In
1967 he was elected the second secretary of ACP Leninakan City Council, and in
1968 - the first secretary.
He was elected deputy of the CPSU 24th Congress, deputy of the 8th, 9th sessions of the USSR Supreme Soviet and the 10th, 11th sessions of the Soviet Armenia Supreme Soviet.
In May
1975 Murad Muradyan was elected Chairman of the Executive Committee of Yerevan City Soviet, where he worked till December 1985.
In
1985 he was elected ACP CC Secretary.
From
1969 till
1989 he was elected ACP CC member and candidate of CC Bureau, and from December
1985 he was elected ACP CC member.
He was awarded with Lenin medals and a number of medals, two red flag orders.
In 1988 - Chairman of "HAYCOP" and worked till
1991.
Married, has three children.
In Leninakan Murad Muradyan's working years were truly called years of unique structures.

In the centre of Murad Muradyan's special attention have been the problems of health care, school, pre-school new units, construction of residential houses and their operation.
During those years more than one dozen of industrial new enterprises have been put into operation.
Murad Muradyan's organizational skills were more obviously displayed during the working years as Chairman of the City Council Executive Committee.

The second shift of the Main Avenue and ring-shaped park were put into operation, more than two dozens of water squares with their artistic decorations were constructed, more than 30 pedestrian passages and transport junctions.
In ring-shaped park the statues of Vardan Mamikonian, Yeghishe Charents, Armen Tigranian, and in the opera park - Martiros Sarian, in Nor Nork - Guy Bzhshkian, in front of Municipality - Alexander Myasnikian.
The bases of the new building of Yerevan Municipality and Davtashen bridge were laid.
While working as "HAYCOP" chairman with his immediate efforts a serious move took place, especially in the increase of the volumes of agricultural products and creation of new production capabilities of re-processing and improvement of supply of rural population.
Large volume of works have been also done in the direction of elimination of 1988 earthquake consequences.
And today Murad Muradyan in our country is involved in great activity for the sake of our people. Upon his initiative the Charitable NGO "GYUMRI-VERATSNUND" was established, and the aim of its activity is the design and construction of the MEMORIAL COMPLEX in the city of Gyumri, devoted to the memory of 1988 earthquake victims. The designing works of which are at the stage of completion, and the construction will begin in the near future.
Murad Muradyan is Honoured Citizen of the cities of Yerevan and Gyumri.
