GRIGORYAN ARTSVIN
Doctor, Professor of Engineering, RA Honoured Architect
He was born on May 25, 1935 in Tiflis.
In 1958 he graduated from the architectural department of the Construction faculty of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.
From 1959 he worked in "YerevanProject" Institute as Chief Architect of designs.
In 1974-1992 he was Chairman of Architects' Union of Armenia.
From 1991 he is the head of the chair of the Urban Construction of Yerevan State Architectural Construction.
He is an architect, city builder, painter, graphic artist, publicist and pedagogue.
He's a member of European Cultural Company 1979, Venice.

The main works are dedicated to the history and theory of the modern architecture of Armenia, problems of urban development and environment protection.
He proposed, developed, and invested the concept of city landscape shaping in the modern urban development, which was widely accepted in Armenia, CIS countries and other places.
Author of more than 150 articles dedicated to different issues of urban development, architecture and artistry.
He was awarded three times with the medals of first class and of the USSR People's Economy Achievements Exhibition (PEAE) and diplomas (1965, 1967, 1977), Honoured Architect of Armenia (1981), Laureate of State Prize of Armenia (1977)
He participated in the international conferences and forums in the USSR, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Canada, Ecuador, Egypt, Japan, South Korea and in other countries.
Artsvin Grigoryan's individual exhibitions of water-colour and graphic arts were organized in Yereavn (1960, 1966, 1976, 2005), in Moscow (1968, 1979), in Tbilisi (1974), in Leningrad (1971, 1980), in Kiev (1976), in Kioto (1990), in Seoul (1992), in Paris (1994).
