"GYUMRI-VERATSNUND" (REBIRTH) Charitable NGO was founded on June 29, 2004, which functions based on acting legislation of the Republic of Armenia and RA international treaties.
It is a non-profit organization not adhering to any political stream.
The main aims of "GYUMRI-VERATSNUND" Charitable NGO are:
- Assist the people of Shirak marz for the elimination of the consequences of 1988 disastrous earthquake, the solution of the housing key issue of the city of Gyumri and marz, the improvement of the social-economic conditions and moral-psychological situation.

At the account of means caused from money collections and other sources the designing and building of "MEMORIAL COMPLEX" eternalizing the memory of 1988 earthquake innocent victims in the center of Gyumri, which will be for the people not only a Holy place, but also a unique center of scientific importance, in the exhibition halls the visitors will be familiarized with the whole history of the consequences of the earthquake and have opportunity to get scientifically substantial information about the priority problems of the necessary fighting against earthquake.
